The
Young Muslim Association and the
Islamic Center of America would
like to congratulate the Muslim
community on the approaching
Great Month of Allah [swt]: The
Month of Ramadhan. May Allah,
Most High, make us live to
witness it, fast its days, and
guide us to perform the best
deeds that please Him.
As
Prophet Muhammad [s]
said in part of his
sermon as he welcomed
the month of Ramadhan:
"O People! Indeed
ahead of you is the
blessed month of Allah.
A month of blessing,
mercy and forgiveness. A
month which, with Allah,
is the best of months.
Its days are the best of
days, and its nights are
the best of nights, and
its hours are the best
of hours. Your deeds are
accepted and your
supplications are
answered. Only he is
unhappy who is devoid of
Allah's forgiveness
during this great month.
O People! Indeed your
soul is dependant on
your deeds - free it
with istighfar
(repentance); lighten
its loads by long
prostrations; and know
that Allah swears by His
might that there is no
punishment for the one
who prays and prostrates
and he shall have no
fear of the fire on the
day when man stands
before the Lord of the
worlds."
Join us at the Islamic
Center of America for
the YMA English program
starting at 9:30 PM. Our
program will take
place nightly during the
entire month of Ramadhan
beginning Wednesday
August 11th – Friday
September 10th. Guest
speakers include Imam
Sayyid Hassan Al-Qazwini
and Sayyid Hossein Al-Qazwini.
